Honda began manufacturing motorcycles in 1949 with the release of their first motorcycle the Dream D-Type, which had a 98cc engine. The company began as a producer of piston rings and eventually expanded into motorcycles, automobiles, and power equipment.
Today, Honda offers a wide range of motorcycles for both street and off-road riding. The company is a major player in the motorsports world, with its Honda Racing Corporation division fielding teams in a number of disciplines.
Most motorcycles that are manufactured are built to accommodate people between 5’7” and 5’11” which is the average height of European men. If you’re taller than that, one of the first things that you’ll want to figure out is your inseam, knowing this number is super helpful when you’re checking out bike specs, seat height, and more importantly the distance between the seat and the foot pegs.
With so many different motorcycle segments that Honda provides, there is no clear answer to which motorcycle is the best for tall riders. As a general rule, adventure bikes, dual sports, and sport tourers usually have taller seat heights or extended leg room which make them much more comfortable for our friends with long legs.
Though these segments of bikes are currently increasing in popularity, they aren’t necessarily everyone's cup of tea. So we’ve created a full list of motorcycles, you may be surprised at what fits your height and your fancy!
