The Triumph motorcycle company was founded in 1902 by two German immigrants, Siegfried Bettmann and Maurice Schulte, in Coventry, England. The company initially produced bicycles and then began manufacturing motorcycles in 1902. For over a century, Triumph has been manufacturing some of the best motorcycles in the world.
Most motorcycles are built to accommodate people between 5’7” and 5’11” which is the average height of European men. If you’re taller than that, one of the first things that you’ll want to figure out is your inseam, knowing this number is super helpful when you’re checking out bike specs, seat height, and more importantly the distance between the seat and the foot pegs.
With so many different motorcycle segments that Triumph provides, there is no clear answer to which motorcycle is the best for tall riders. As a general rule, adventure bikes, dual sports, and sport tourers usually have taller seat heights or extended leg room which make them much more comfortable for our friends with long legs.
Some of the most popular triumph motorcycles among tall riders include the Triumph Tiger 800, the Triumph Bonneville T120, and the Triumph Rocket 3. These motorcycles offer a comfortable riding position for tall riders, and they are all well-suited for all types of riding.
Though these bikes are currently increasing in popularity, they aren’t necessarily everyone's cup of tea. So we’ve created a full list of motorcycles, you may be surprised at what fits your height and your fancy!
