Enduro motorcycles are designed for off-road riding on rough terrain. They are typically equipped with features that make them more durable and capable than other types of motorcycles, such as larger tires, longer suspension travel, and more powerful engines. Enduros are often used in off-road racing competitions, as they are capable of navigating challenging courses with ease.
Enduro bikes are on the cheaper end of the spectrum when it comes to motorcycle segments. On average they’ll cost you around $8,000. But they still run more pricey than your average dirt bike and that’s because they are built for racing and speed, unlike a dirt bike which is geared more towards recreational users on rocky terrain.
For short riders, finding a motorcycle that is the right fit can be a little bit challenging. Most motorcycles that are manufactured are built to accommodate people between 5’7” and 5’11” which is the average height of European men. Don’t be discouraged though, there are plenty of Enduro motorcycles that have lower seat heights and a shorter seat-to-footpeg ratio, which is what you want to look for if you’re shorter than average.
Some dual sport options for shorter riders include the Honda CRF250R, Suzuki RM-Z250, and Kawasaki KX250F.
Ultimately, the goal is to choose a motorcycle that feels comfortable and manageable for you, so don’t be afraid to go to dealerships and throw your leg over some bikes. With that being said, we realize shopping for a motorcycle is a little bit more difficult so we’ve compiled a list of motorcycles to fit those with a shorter inseam.
