When it comes to particular motorcycle families within the bike industry, the off-road category has become increasingly competitive. For whatever reason, tons of top motorcycle brands are stumbling over themselves to create dirt bikes that are worthy of the trails. And the 2018 Suzuki RMX450Z is absolutely no exception.

It’s decked out with LED taillights for a little more modern flare in appearance, and an LCF cluster that will let the rider know things like their speed. And when you’re racing on the track or on a trail, speed matters. Its 1.6-gallon tank isn’t the most impressive thing we’ve seen, but again, it adds to the lightweight nature of the bike so that its riders can ride the bike a bit more easily.
The fork on this thing is much improved, so it will never come across as "too soft" like some of Suzuki’s other models. When it comes to issues that existed with previous Suzuki models, the company seemed to listen to some general complaints and try to improve from there. It’s a really, really solid bike that will help to propel them into top spots within the industry. Is it ALTA Motors level? It may be, it may not be. It all depends on the rider in the ride.
