About: This winding, scenic road that takes you up through the Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the highest paved passes in the country. Just outside of Twin Sisters Peak East and Longs Peak, just north of Apache Peak, you can’t really go wrong. Take your time, this is not a ride you’ll want to rush!

About: Another beautiful route near Granby, Colorado. This amazing road is one of the highest routes in the area and runs up McGregor Mountain just north of Twin Sisters Peak East. Be wary of tourist traffic, though. That is the only drawback you’ll find on this route!

About: With this route's many mountain passes carved into steep cliffs, you know you’re in for some views. This route is marked as the San Juan Scenic Byway and passes over Mt. Eolus and the San Juan National Forest, just east of San Luis Peak. There are very few guardrails, so as you take in the sights, hug those turns, and stay safe.

About: This road was designed to be scenic, and it nails it. The route makes for a great half-day ride, and offers many Mom n’ Pop restaurants like the Sycamore Drive-In, and stops for great food along the way.

About: It got its name somehow, and this route is for more accomplished riders. Full of ups and downs, it’s beautiful nonetheless. Just proceed with caution.

About: A must-ride in Connecticut. People aren’t joking around about the leaves changing colors in New England, for real. This route takes you through the Tunxis State Forest and around the Barkhamsted Reservoir, just west of the Peoples State Forest, which is where you end up.

About: A beautiful drive with some great corners. It takes you from St. Augustine to Fruit Cove, Florida. Continue along A1A for a beachside ride all the way up through the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve to Fernandina Beach outside of Jacksonville.
