Review of the 2016 Lexus NX 200T Base

In a world that’s full of luxury vehicles, Lexus tends to stand out from the rest. Sure, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, and a handful of others get more recognition, but Lexus brings a lot to the table. The 2016 NX 200t, for example, is one of Lexus’ best-selling models.

Historically, Lexus has been, shall I say, a bit conservative in its styling preferences over the years. Some customers will love the new style while others may despise it. I’ll give it to Lexus, they went out on a limb for this design and it truly stands out in a good way. Trying to set yourself apart from the luxury SUV crowd is difficult when you’re a big-time brand like Lexus and there is a ton of competition. However, as difficult as it is to get good footing in the luxury SUV space, Lexus has great traction when it comes to the 2016 NX 200t. It's in-your-face styling helps it stand out from the rest of the pack which is helped by bold angles and slashes. Not all customers will enjoy the Lexus SUV’s styling, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it will catch every onlooker's eye.

2016 Lexus NX 200t Review

When it comes to the interior, everyone can agree on its bountiful array of top-quality materials.  From the dashboard to the air conditioning ducts, there isn’t a centimeter of space wasted on subpar material. Passengers will enjoy the same comfort as the driver with seats that are well-bolstered with spacious legroom to spare. The only drawback to having an ample amount of passenger space is the cargo area takes a hit. True, neglected cargo space is difficult to overlook if you’re a true crossover SUV connoisseur. However, if you’re not spending your weekends gallivanting across numerous camping sites or just don’t care about the lack of available cargo space, it’s easy to look beyond this issue.
