BMW's S 1000 XR immediately looks like no other motorcycle. At first glance it resembles the S 1000 RR sport bike, but the moment you swing a leg over you'll notice the more upright seating postition making it more comfortable for long rides, and allowing more control in tight corners. Sharing the same engine design (although re-tuned to 165hp from 205) as the S 1000 RR, it's highly unlikely you'll find yourself needing more power, and puts it high on the list of powerful sport-touring bikes.
